And again: The 14th International Show-Betta Competition in Hanover, Germany within the „4th Heimtiermesse 2010“ was a full success!

There were about 200 Betta splendens from Austria, the Netherlands and Germany in many colors and finnage variations exhibited at our stand. Many visitors saw our international show with many high quality breeders' fish and our main judge Stefan Nelte, were present at the many auctions and also used the possibility to get advice regarding maintenance and breeding. We were very happy to welcome them all at our stand.

Friday morning at 8:00 o'clock the judging of the roughly 160 fish that were also entered into the competition began. Our judging team contained of our main judge Stefan Nelte, our judges: Ilse Hoekstra, Markus Klein, Joep van Esch and our judge apprentices: Sascha Vanslambrouck, Claus-Peter Große, Salvatore Unali.

After a few hours it was finally done: The winners were there.

As already on Friday, also on Saturday and Sunday auctions were held. Sometimes our stand was literally packed with people.

On Sunday our trophy ceremony took place which was held by Joep van Esch.

Congrats to all the winners and thanks a lot to the organizers of the „Heimtiermesse“ for inviting the EHBBC! It was a great weekend not only for the EHBBC itself but also for our beautiful hobby! Many new members joined our club and we all enjoyed a fun weekend with interesting discussions and exchange of knowledge.
